Preparation:
Clean the tray thoroughly and ensure it has proper drainage holes.
Filling:
Fill each cup with a suitable growing medium, such as seed-starting mix or coconut coir.
Seeding:
Sow seeds evenly in each cup, following the recommended seed density for the specific type of microgreen.
Watering:
Water gently to moisten the growing medium without displacing the seeds.
Consider using a spray bottle for even moisture distribution.
Lighting:
Place the tray in a well-lit area or use grow lights to provide sufficient light for the microgreens.
Temperature:
Maintain a consistent temperature suitable for the variety of microgreens you are growing, typically between 60-75°F (15-24°C).
Air Circulation:
Ensure good air circulation around the tray to prevent mold and fungal growth. A small fan can help maintain airflow.
Monitoring:
Regularly check the moisture level of the growing medium and water as needed to keep it consistently moist.
Harvesting:
Harvest the microgreens when they reach the desired size, usually within 7-21 days depending on the variety.
