Neem pend (or neem paste) is a natural product derived from the neem tree, known for its insecticidal and antifungal properties. It’s often used in gardening to manage pests and diseases in plants.
2. Application Methods
Foliar Spray:
Mixing: Combine neem paste with water to create a solution. Typically, you’d mix about 2 tablespoons of neem paste with 1 liter of water.
Strain: Strain the mixture to remove any large particles that could clog your sprayer.
Application: Spray the solution onto the leaves and stems of your plants. Make sure to cover both the tops and undersides of the leaves. This helps to deter and manage pests like aphids, mites, and whiteflies, as well as fungal issues.
Soil Drench:
Mixing: For a soil drench, mix neem paste with water in a bucket (e.g., 2 tablespoons of neem paste per 1 liter of water).
Application: Pour the mixture directly onto the soil around the base of the plant. This helps to control soil-borne pests and diseases.
3. Frequency
Regular Use: Apply neem paste or neem oil every 7-14 days as a preventative measure or as needed if you notice pests or disease.
Check Plants: Monitor your plants regularly to determine if the application is having the desired effect.
