Container: A tray or container with drainage holes.
Light source: Natural sunlight or grow lights.
Watering: A spray bottle for misting.
Here’s how to grow Swiss chard red microgreens:
Prepare the tray: Fill the tray with about 1-2 inches of the growing medium and level the surface.
Sow the seeds: Spread the Swiss chard red microgreens seeds evenly over the surface of the growing medium.
Cover the seeds: Lightly press the seeds into the growing medium to ensure good contact, then mist them with water.
Cover the tray: Cover the tray with a lid or another tray to create a dark, humid environment for germination.
Germination: Keep the tray covered for 2-3 days, misting the seeds once or twice a day to keep them moist.
Expose to light: After 2-3 days, remove the cover and place the tray in a well-lit area or under grow lights.
Watering: Continue to mist the microgreens with water once or twice a day to keep them moist.
Harvesting: Swiss chard red microgreens are ready to harvest in about 7-14 days, when they are about 1-3 inches tall. Cut them just above the soil level with scissors.
